About “Paint Monk’s Library”

Paint Monk’s Library is a blog dedicated to comic book commentary, reviews and creator interviews. My name is Wally, a real life Catholic religious who enjoys volunteer writing, editing, blogging and reading comic books in his limited spare time.

Here at Paint Monk’s Library, our only “agenda” is to have informative, friendly discussion about the comic book industry, with an eye toward creativity and the Gold-Silver-Bronze and Copper Ages of Comics. We hope to feature creator interviews and special stories, too, in addition to the reviews you’ll find here.

All of the writers here at Paint Monk’s Library – including myself – are volunteers who want to share their love of the comic book industry in a friendly, open and lightly moderated format. My personal goal one day would be for Paint Monk’s Library to be a modern equivalent of the fantastic Amazing Heroes magazine, published long ago by Fantagraphics Books.

In addition to myself, contributing writers are Joeseph Simon, Bob Freeman and Andy Maglothin, all of whom have spent substantial time writing and blogging about the industry in one way or another.

If you enjoy our blog, please consider “liking” us on Facebook or following us on Twitter.

As always, I am – Wally (AKA Paint Monk)
