Countdown to Conan begins 4/2 – Are you Ready?

Paint Monk’s Library to review classic Marvel run until New Series begins in 2019


If you’re a fan of Robert E. Howard’s famous barbarian, you’re no doubt excited about Marvel Comics getting the Conan license back in 2019. 

To celebrate, the scribes here at Paint Monk’s Library will attempt to review the entire 275 issue run of Marvel’s classic Conan the Barbarian before the new series premieres next year.

Installments will appear each week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Storylines covering multiple issues may or may not be grouped together – it’s something that’s still being discussed.

The first installment, a review of Conan the Barbarian #1, will be published here on April 2.

The goal of this ambitious project? To recap classic Marvel Hyborian goodness and to prepare the red carpet for the new rendition of the Cimmerian.
All Library scribes will participate in this project – I’ll be handling reviews of issues #1-15 and David Conine hopes to cover issues #16-25. Future reviewers will be announced at a later time.
Hope you’ll join us for this long journey down the Road of Kings!
