36 Years Ago, Conan Hit the Big Screen in the US

John Milius’ screenplay still a Cult Classic and beloved by fans

Say it hasn’t been that long! It just makes me feel old. I still remember seeing it in the theatre with my father when I was 14 years old. He made me leave the theatre when Conan went into the house of the witch. He couldn’t find a reason to make me get up again, so he just had a long conversation with me about the temple scene after the movie.
